CLASS SUMMARY: SEPTEMBER 14, 2023


Hello everyone!!

Today in our class, we did the second presentation session. It’s not like yesterday, in today’s class, there are just two presenter groups. There are fifth group and the sixth group that presented their brochure. The fifth group presented about the free TOEFL test offer that they have with so many benefits in there. The sixth group presented an education seminar brochure, with the theme “Increase Awareness about the Important of Literacy for Student”, with Febby Rastanty as a speaker and Arafah Rianti as a moderator.

MOVIE REVIEW: UP (2009)

UP 2009 Having a big dream is precious, moreover if we have an intention to make it come true. To make it come true we should put in much effort, sometimes it makes us want to cry and feel give up. Up (2009) movie is related to those phenomena. Up is an American animated comedy-drama adventure produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Pete Docter and Bob Peterson are the directors of Up, they are also the writers of Up movie with Tom McCarthy. The setting of this movie is in South America, with the main characters Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) and Russell (Jordan Nagai). Up (2009) is about the journey of Mr. Fredricksen to make his wife’s dream come true. After his wife (Ellie) dies Mr. Fredricksen lives alone. Everyone tries to make him move from his house but he refuses it. MOVIE REVIEW: FLIPPED (2010)

FLIPPED (2010) Sometimes we have to tell the truth even though it may hurt someone else. This statement is true because when people knows the truth from other people or discover it by themselves it will hurt them more, and it might be causing them to hate us. From “Flipped” we can learn how those statement works. Flipped is an American Romantic comedy-drama film that released in 2010. The director is Rob Reiner and the storyline based on Wendelin Van Draanen’s 2001 novel. The setting of the film is in 1961, and the main character in this film is Juli Baker and Bryce Loski.  On the day when Bryce Loski moved to his new house, Juli Baker was falling in love with him. They’re going to the same school, and she always try to approach to him. Juli has a chicken farm, and her farm produce many eggs. Some of her neighbour buy her eggs.
